Sorry to the folks that have been following the blog. I haven’t posted something in well over 2 months. The last one actually was in the beginning of March but it was a simple reblog so that doesn’t really count. But this doesn’t mean I’ve been not going to Killer Burger for my freebie a day. How can I pass up one of PDX’s best burgers!!
In fact I’ve been going to KB every single day for the last week and a half ever since we got back from NYC. That place literally zapped all my money so we’ve been living off of KB’s. On Sunday’s, because KB is closed, we just eat dog food and ketchup. But anyways I’ve been quite busy with work going back and forth to Seattle and gearing up for the NYC trip and then coming back and editing up a bunch of footage and then getting ready to go back up to Seattle for more work. I’ve been lucky to be this busy again this year. Thank you to everyone that’s been giving me work!!!
I just wanna update also on a couple custom KB’s I’ve been trying out. Mainly adding mushrooms AND I think this is a new thing at KB - adding Serano Chilie’s. Here’s a description so far of what I’ve tried, liked and didn’t like as much:
- Teemah Burger: Basically their bleu cheese burger. But I added mushrooms to it after realizing how cheese-heavy it was. I wanted to break up the cheese with something plump and squishy. Mushrooms were a perfect addition! Kind of like the Fun-Guy but with a slight kick from the Bleu Cheese.
- Jose Mendoza Burger: This has roasted green chilies and Jack Cheese. But this time I got it without the cheese and added mushrooms. With the absence of the cheese and addition of mushrooms it tasted extra meaty! I would love to try with Portabello’s on it! Further (this is sacrilege I know) I got it to go and added raw cut yellow onion on it. That gave slight spicier kick to it. I would have used red onion but didn’t have any.
- Peanut-Butter-Pickle-Bacon: THIS THIS THIS is so far my favorite custom job…. Take this burger and add - Mushrooms, Serano Chilies, and squirt Sriracha Sauce all up in it!!! BAM!! To me this would be the Ultimate Stoner Burger that I could make from KB.
In fact! Tomorrow is 4/20 and I plan on going to the joint completely blitz out of my mind and will order up one of these babies.
Killer Burger you don’t disappoint. Your staff are always super nice and are like the friendliest people at a burger joint on Sandy. It’s truly a beautiful place to eat.
